TVR S2 - some advice on parts
Discussion
Hi, new to forum and after a long tiring search, new to TVR ownership, with the recent purchase of a 1989 S2 in what I think is Monza Red. This brings me to my first question; how do I confirm the colour and where can I get touch up paint? The body work is in amazing condition for its age so just looking to sort out a few stone chips
Also where is best place for TVR s 2 parts? might need a headlight bezel and other bits.
And last question, would love to fit chrome door cill plates, but not sure if you can buy these off the shelf or need to have them made?
I am sure I will be back with further questions when I get into the mechanics 😀

Hi,
If your car is Monza Red sometimes called Italian Red or even Italian Monza Red then the paint code will be on the Vehicle Identification Plate as KV52 or KV52-P422
Parts well there are lots of places but TVR Car Parts would be a start. A lot of parts are Ford parts so places specialising in older Fords or Burton Power could come in handy
Welcome to the joys of S Ownership!

There are several online paint suppliers who will make up spray tins, touch up kits and so on to order. I seem to remember the one I used was paints4u. They web site prompted for the information they needed to get an exact match, and the end result was spot on.
Headlamp rings are from a classic Mini. The mounting tab is a TVR addition. You can make it yourself from a tin can and pop rivet, or pay the mark-up to have a TVR specialist do it for you.

That's great! Thanks for the feedback.
One other question ;; unfortunately the car didn't come with the Steve Heath manual. I have asked the owner prior to the guy I bought it from, who is going to have a search. If he doesn't find it, is a replacement an impossible task? I have searched the internet but to no avail 🙁

I don't understand why you failed to find it, but the Steve Heath Publications website is at http://www.shpub.co.uk/.Gassing Station | S Series | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
