s1 throttle cable

Can any body tell me what throttle cable is on my S1 2,8 1988 ie make of car it came off, part numbers and where I can get one from ASAP
It looks like it has a ball on each end,I have broken the plastic adjuster so do the new ones come complete with the adjuster and spring
I would prefer a original TVR if they are still about ????

The engine is a Cologne V6 from a 2.8 Granada, so you might find that's where the throttle cable came from.

I thought it was from a capri 2.8

Ford used the same engine in the Granada as well as the Capri

and don't forget to fit a throttle pedal stop - this is the biggest risk to snapping the cable.

Go steady with the replacement: I haven't found one that's a nice quality. All the ones I've tried have been dry and sticky. I believe the original cable is actually a Cosworth one, as the Sierra 2.8 version is too short.

Very helpful it sounds like its pot luck if you find the right cable that fits,My outer cable is 54"or 1370mm long from the bulkhead to end of the plastic then another 2 1/2" or 60mm to the metal end,plus another 2" or 50mm from the bulk head to the pedal .
The outer case has a white sleeve over it for about 18" or 450mm over the engine
If I am very lucky and find anything I will let you all know
