Interesting valuation, perhaps a mite optimistic unless it is a typo with and extra zero at the end?

Paint job on the chassis looks a bit dodgy but it does have an S4 bonnet. Maybe an accident in the history somewhere?

That's the one I owned for a little while Joe, Terry used it for a Eurotour. Late model possibly came from factory with that bonnet?

and, NO, I didn't paint the chassis and everything else hehe

Another little point of interest (to anoraks) the driving/spot lamps call them what you will are not self contained units like these.....

But are same as used in the Griffith, more like a headlamp unit with three mounting screws to adjust direction ......

I remember. Burnt a bit of oil if I remember right. But maybe that was just the way Tel hammered it laugh

No, was a bit smelly but caused by oil dripping onto the exhaust. I bought it as a non runner, it turned out the breather hoses were all wrong (catylyst car, lots of hoses!) and in Terry's attempts to sort them out the crankcase got pressurised... blowing oil out and not enough time to clean up properly before the tour.
Once it was home a good pressure wash and all was fine smile

Until very recently this car was in the Dundee area, saw it about at a few shows with a for sale sign on it. Chassis was heavily painted as in photos when I saw it.

Here is one for sale in New Zealand. Says New Zealand new, I didn't know they sold them here. Listed as 58,000km and yes the speedo is im km not miles. Will never have seen a salted road.

Late year V8S. Chassis looks to have been painted with the body in situ and poorly at that.

Engine bay not looking to good. Signs of water leaks from the swirl pot.

157k miles..............9k to 12 k...................will still need a lot of work.

Possible interesting project for someone. Bidding at 10k earlier today.

Anyone know the car or its history ?

More detailed pictures on the auctions website. [link to this on the ebay page]

Think that’s the one that’s up for sale with AH Classics at £11,500. Been up for sale for a few months now. See PH S series for sale page.

Seems like a strong bid for something that needs to be taken to bits and done properly. Mind you, there aren't many around these days I guess!

This project car from October was more on the money I would say: https://themarket.co.uk/listings/tvr/v8s/b7496a7a-...

That brake balance valve doesn't look right.

Some sort of adjuster handle on there maybe? Definitely more complex than the Ford ball bearing item on my S1.

This is the correct balance valve for a V8S...

Ah so that routes the rear pipe sideways instead of straight out of the back. Much better than the S1 item which has to be removed completely to get the rear pipe out (on my standard car anyway) as it is right up against the bulkhead.
