Interesting S3C project car. The owner has started the strip down but no word on the dreaded outriggers:

The listing states "The chassis is in a fair condition, however as is typical with these cars, and why I was going to do a strip down, is you can not see the top of the chassis rails, which usually rot out. As any TVR owner will tell this is a main problem with most TVR's, so I am sure that work is needed with the outriggers and other areas." Caveat emptor as always.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TVR-S3C-Project-Car/283...

If the work described is ok it could be a good buy

Claims to be 1990 but an S3. Surely as a 1990 it must be an S2?

This one is listed as an S2 with a 3 litre engine, but looks like a S1.5 with those wheels and an F plate. The heater hose at the top of the engine bay photo is also in a strange position ...

1990 was the change over year between the models so both S2, S3 and S3c were all available. My 1990 S was originally specified as an S2 but was delivered as an S3c no doubt as the factory had one available and sweet talked the original owner to have it instead? Who knows? I was going to say that with that engine installed, this car was 'like a wolf in sheeps clothing' but with those door stickers, there is no 'sheepish' about it!

Chassis looks a bit rough and as for the fake roll hoop - but what's interesting here is the bonnet has faired in fog lamps which I didn't think were right for the S1.

The replacement bonnet is probably worth more than the rest of the car. My S2 had been rebuilt with one of these newer 4-headlight bonnets after an accident, and when I bought it in 1996 the owner told me they cost £3000 new from TET.

And another refurbished chassis and upgrades: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1248213
Good price for a car that appears to have been done spot on.
