TVR Parts have added the fuel tank cradle to their list of S parts available. But it aint cheap! Possibly one of the easiest parts to get made by the local fabricator.

The picture makes it look like it is gold plated which I hope it is for that price.
Also looks like they have kept the same design which means it will rust out again. Would have been simple to modify it so water cannot remain trapped in it.

I agree re design, if making your own it is very easy to add drains.
Incidentally the original is made using a steel box section that is not readily available now. However the next size slightly larger metric is readily available and there is no problem using it.

We found the same thing when doing my S1 tank cradle. The welder couldn't source the old size so used metric and tack welded it, then fitted it up to the chassis, made adjustments and then seam welded it off the chassis.

Lovely bit of work, fits a treat, and the cost, including blasting and painting, was a fraction of the price of a new one.

It is good that they are available though, if you needed one in a hurry it could be worth splashing out I think.
