Have a look at this. It says it fits all TVR models, might be worth contacting them.

Mmm, I think they are wrong scratchchin

Perhaps they should stick to what they know? biggrin

Maybe all except the 'S' & 'T' series laugh. The older ones did use a Triumph column.

It does look like you could get someone to machine a circular plate with countersunk screws that connect to the old holes and have new holes for the new wheel easy enough, if it was say 10mm thick then you’d have plenty of meat to play with. Obviously need to get the existing and new holes to avoid a clash, a bit of paper will be able to tell you if it’s possible.

THIS might be what you need.

TBH buying an old steering wheel for an obsolete car is a bit of a gamble unless you're confident of getting the right boss with it.

Now if you'd bought an old Moto-Lita you'd have no trouble at all getting a boss because Moto-Lita still supply old boss kits.

Thanks for all the replies Chaps. I've looked at literally hundreds of hubs, bosses, adapters on the web this weekend until my eyes have gone sore, and seen a couple of options that might work, some with some minor fettling. Some of the advertised options look to be correct but surprisingly lack some of the key information or view of both sides which is annoying.
Shame I haven't got the tools to manufacture one myself, but in the end I will just have to pick one and if it doesn't fit, go through the inconvenience of sending it back.

Cheers all.

I have found a TVR/Scorpio boss (the one with the integral toothed gear that comes off a later wedge Hex centre) does anyone know if this would do the job? A@

This site has some useful info on the patterns used by leading manufacturers:

Possibly. What is the size of the hex?

This boss fits an 'S' column. The hex is 17mm across the flats.

Finally got round to installing my new wheel. Had a bit of modification to do to the Adapter I opted for, but looks like it works!

Next question, where can I get a centre cap to fit the 60mm hole?

How about a WHEEL CENTER CAP and a 'TVR' badge to match.

Yes, I thought about that as an option. Only problem is that they appear to be 60mm max dimension, whereas I would need the inner dimension to be 60, otherwise may just push through 🤔

There are plenty to choose from. You just have to spend a bit of time looking for the right one.

I hope after all this butongue outtongue outering about you've saved enough to have made it worth the effort laugh

If you get real stuck for a centre filler, I can design and 3D print a centre cap to suit a 60mm hole, would be approx 1mm thick. Would need to know the size of your TVR badge to make the face the same diameter.

You’ve suffered enough with that steering wheel.

No cost by the way, happy to help if I can.

Thanks very much! Much appreciated.
I can prise the TVR badge off the original horn push and glue it on centrally, so as long as the 'blank' fits the hole, it should work well.
