If it’s repairable and you can get it back into shape you could vinyl wrap it. I bought some off Ebay and did the interior door handles on a beetle where the surface had peeled, dead easy to do and looks amazing when done, you just heat it a little with a hair drier and stretch it over.

There are hundreds of colours and different effects and it only cost a few pounds. I did the exterior window pillars too as they had faded, still looked perfect after two years when we sold it.
