Battery hight

I've been offered a battery for my S2. I don't have a battery to compare.

Can someone tell me the hight from the bottom to the top of the terminal. Many thanks

The battery on my S1 comes in at about 175mm tall or 7” in old money. Hth.

The one I've been offered is 7.5 inches.

So I'll wait to see if anyone has got away with 7.5

Get or modify a cardboard to match the size of the battery you've been offered (plus a bit of clearance). Close the bonnet and see if it touches the box. Simples

If you search through a few old posts on here 072 or 069 batteries crop up regularly. If you then take a look on somewhere like Tayna Batteries they give dimensions.

These batteries come in around 220 - 225mm , nearly 9" in old money.

What you've been offered should fit comfortably..... height wise


I've moved mine to the boot so can't confirm!

Bonnet is off at mo at my house, car is else where, but good idea. Thanks
