Sad news; Goodbye Chris
Discussion
RIP Chris.
Never met you but contributed on same threads etc.
Pop onto this forum from time to time and was sad to hear this.
His V8 rebuild thread was truly inspirational.
When I sold my S3C back in 2011 I remember one chap came to look at my car, he liked it but said he was going straight after to view Chris's V8 and would all me if he didn't like it. Needless to say he never called me back...
God bless

To mirror previous comments, Chris was a real valuable source of knowledge for all things S and the inspiration for me to 'just have a go' at my full body-off restoration.
Always on hand to offer advice and help via this forum, Chris' willingness and enthusiasm to pass on his knowhow will be sadly missed.

This is sad news indeed. I am the owner of his rebuilt V8S and I bought off him in 2011. I will never forget the look on his face when I took it off his drive... but I like to think it went to a good home at least.
Really strangely, I haven't been in touch with him for a good few years, but I invited him to a topic I created recently on here about my ignition problems in case he was interested. I never heard back which was totally out of character but now it's clear why.
He was great and the car is testament to his dedication, knowledge and skill. He was always willing to help and when I first owned the car, I even took it back to his place so he could take a look at the ECU. He just loved working on it and helping out.

Gizzardio, if ever you were to sell, please let me know! We’d love to buy it back.
Hi, I tried to PM you but it said no incoming emails accepted. I have to be careful what I say here due to forum rules but I think I'd like to speak with you. Gizzardio, if ever you were to sell, please let me know! We’d love to buy it back.
If anyone else on here can put me in touch I'd appreciate it.
