As I mentioned in getting my December 1988 S in to the S register recently I have a two TVR problem.

I originally bought the S in 2005 as a way of getting back into TVRs having been away for many years. I had a good job at the time and in 2008 bought a 450 Chim as I just wanted to drive a V8 TVR on the basis that at some point I would sell one of them. Then in 2010 the S failed its MOT on the outriggers so a project started at Elmwood TVR. A fill in project when the workshop wasn't busy. So what started off as a body to have the chassis repaired and zinc sprayed became a multi year why don't we fit a Cosworth in it while we are at it. So the car progressed slowly with me buying things like a Sierra LSD for it and a Cosworth engine that was stripped down and reassembled with new bearings and rings etc. Then Elmwood stopped servicing TVRs and Covid came along. By this time I was no longer in a well paid job. Claire and Toby at Elmwood recommended that I contact their friend Mark to see if he would get the S running. He had several other projects on the go but we finally got the S there towards the end of 2022. His work is very good and his attention to detail is excellent. So about three weeks ago it was MOT'ed. It still needs a rolling road session, new set of carpets, seats cleaned but it's a running project.

So having mulled it over I think I will keep the Chim 450 and sell the S. I can hear the groans now. So if anyone knows of someone interested in a project please ask them to contact me. My email's paulpaddington2017@gmail.com.
