The screw on the top part is just in front of the hazard warning button.



As you can see, I used a number plate cap to cover the screw and under this is a spacer. Obviously this means using a longer screw.

If you can't see the slits in the vinyl on the lower part you'll be able to feel where the screes are.

As an update to this, I have a new coil, ignition amplifier, plug lead set, Anderson connectors all on order. While waiting for them to arrive, I did the running the car in pitch darkness in the garage test, and I could see no arcing whatsoever.
I removed all of the HT leads and examined them. They are only about 2 years old and all look brand new. No burning or damage. I reinstalled them, but rerouted them so that no lead touches any metal work. I then cleaned and reseated the terminals on the ignition amp and coil.


And.......the car now runs sweet as a nut! The mis is completely gone. I should have started with the basics first, but the fact that it seemed rev range dependant, and then developed to be across the full rangle threw me. Anyway, the last two days she has been running beautifully.
