Sourcing oil pressure bypass valve for a V8S

My friendly neighbourhood garage is trying to source a new (or refurb!) oil pressure bypass valve for my V8S, but they tell me they can't find one.

Do you lovely folk know where I can find one actually in stock?

Is this likely to be a TVR special, or a Range Rover P38 part?

Which part - the plunger or the housing/front cover?

It's a Range Rover Classic engine so anywhere that still stocks parts for that should be able to supply you. RPI sell (or used to sell) an improved 'tadpole' stype plunger which was less likely to jam, and I recommend using that style if you can find them.

It's just a Rover V8 and there's thousands of these engines running around. Have you tried Rimmers?
They sell an oil pressure relief valve service kit.

If the other sources mentioned above can't help try Powers Performance.

Phone Rimmers - the counter staff are really knowledgable and the search facility on their website is truly awful.
