Induction Noise

A few years ago I borrowed my boss's S3C for a long weekend, and I seem to remember it having a more satisfying induction noise than my current S3.

I've just been reading a post about the lack of air flow meters on the S3C and I was wondering whether this could account for the difference, or is my memory simply deceiving me? (wouldn't be the first time )

An alternative question would be, has anyone made any mods to the air filter etc. that have resulted in increased induction roar without harming performance?

Try a k&N filter or piper cross, the boy racers go for the 57i kit which is a cone filter, this gives a good roar to even a saxo!!

Ummm induction roar . i thought that the standard filter was pretty much as free flowing and as loud as they get anyway? maybe it is just the difference between the S3/S3C afterall.
