My passenger side wiper has stopped working. The nylon gear appears to have stripped in the near side wheel box. Anyone any idea where the original gear box came from so I can source a sensible priced replacement?

The wipers have also been a little slugish i.e. not very smooth, jolting across the screen any ideas how to improve this or is it normal?

My guess is it's normal when you have a stripped cog in the wheel box!

They all do that anyway.
Use plenty of Rain-X and avoid using the wipers.

I found all sorts of rubbish had found their way around bits of the wiper mechanism... so I had a tidy, cleaned it all up, liberally sprayed some WD40 and they're a lot better...

Rain-X great when first applied, but seems to only last a brief amount of time before needing re-application - far more than it suggest on the bottle

doesnt exactly "do exactly what it says on the tin"
