I found Heritage to be the best. They give me a premium almost half the premium of everyone else. Their number is (0121) 246 6060.

I'm also with Heritage (Norton). It is a classic policy, limited mileage and includes TVRCC track days and (optional) european breakdown cover.

The best quote i recieved was from Sunning Hill Tel 01276 474844 talk to Malcolm or Andy Makintosh (? spelling).

They provide a classic insurance policy.

Milage is limited but track day cover is provided for any organised event, so not limited to TVR CC only events. Approx £500.00

Believe it or not, the cheapest quotes I could find were at directline.com and privilege.co.uk

Direct Line quoted me nearly £2000 for my S. Most quoted around the £700 mark. Heritage quoted £400.

Don't get a classic insurance with Adrian Flux.If you cancel your policy after 6 months there is no chance of a penny back and 'can you write to cofirm the policy is cancelled and we want the policy back' my return of language is not printable

Adrian Flux is just a broker so the terms and conditions are down the company who you are insured by. You'll find the terms and conditions are what you sign so the lesson I guess is to ask about cancellation clauses or read the t&c and reject the policy if it contains clauses like this. I've always found them to be very helpful although not always the cheapest. You'll never get pro-rata returns on a cancelled policy anyway, some are better than others though.

I've always thought insuring stuff through classic policies is a bit of a mistake unless you have no no claims to put towards the car as your no claims isn't used and after 2 years you'll lose it. If you do have no no claims though and you're not interested in gaining any then it's obviously a lot cheaper.

Regards,

Mark

Just got a very competetive quote from Peart on my ungaraged S3. The other good quote came from Sunninghill. Both in Sprint.

on another insurance point - my car is shortly due to be moved from the city to the suburbs and garaged - how much is this likely to effect my premium? is it something I shouldnt bother getting excited about?

I think you will find that the garage bit will make a large difference. Most companies I contacted would not touch me unless the car was garaged, despite the fact it will be kept on my driveway behind locked gates. I live in a small village in rural Oxfordshire.

cheers Mike - I am not relying on it but with an increase in the mortgage it would be nice to have a reduction in something to help offset it.
