I don't think anyone knows for sure how many S3s were made or when they started production, it was some time in 1990. Most insurance companys when I ask for a quote tell me my car can't be an S3c because thier computer tells them production did not start until 1991. Did you know TVR's listed a S2c as a model. Never seen one, were there any made?

There were only a handful of S2c's made (2 or 5 rings a bell?), I have never seen one in the flesh but I believe there is a picture of one floating around on one of the web sites. My car was once listed as an S2c on one of my receipts but it isn't, funny because it's such a rare car that it's not an easy mistake, you would expect an S2c to be listed as an S2 Cheers LeeBee

I have the same problem, my S3(c..?)'s a September 1990 with cats ect and I keep being told it can't be an S3c because there weren't made until '91. TVR's, no such thing as a standard car...

TVR build records shows Jan 1990 S2 where in production and Jan 1991 S3 were in production. What happened in between is anyones guess. Mark

As far as the S2c is concerned, I know that most of them were build LHD, so it is no surprise that they are rare in the UK. Maybe that's why I took it on a regular basis from Holland to the UK for a spin.

Peter
(now with a S3c again LHD).
