The black release button on the end of the handbrake shot off like a bullet fired by the small spring behind it, Iv'e retrieved the button but the spring has vanished. Does anyone know the source of the handbrake? the button is the type that screws onto a small threaded rod inside the handbrake and the small spring surrounds it. Stupid little thing but very inconvenient - no handbrake!
advisable to check yours is tight on - clockwise to tighten

Nope, don't know off hand... but having just replaced mine with a lovely Leven one - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=32219&f=11&h=0 - I'd recommend you go for that!

Alternatively, send me a mail via my profile, and I'll try and dig the original plastic one out of the bin!

Can probably make one for you if you were interested, alloy, black delrin (nylon), stainless?

Cheers
