you sound as if its all too late Matt. I am sure with summer coming up you could get a decent price for your Chimaera and buy yourself a very nice V8S. OK, they dont come up that often so you may have to wait for the right one but....

yeah maybe but we know from Ren's roaming reports that not all V8S's are up to certain standards. Just to make it clear, no disrespect intended with anyone with their V8S in the ads, I have not viewed any! Just making the point that finding a good S is hard enough with so few being built, by simple mathmatics its easy to deduce finding a sorted V8S would be even more hard work.

And we know Matt is rather meticulous with his cars

Maybe a Griffith would come closer to the feel of an S if the Chimaera doesn't do it for you?

Shnozz.. yep you're quite right on the V8S being a hard beast to find, however I may have to go that way.. Roger you might be right too.. I was originally thinking about an early griff but the lack of them on the market coupled with the fact that Mrs H can't stand the look of the headlights on them moved me onto the Chimaera.. hmmmmm.... ba humbug..

Matt.

Edited to say... Podie.. I'd noticed the 5 this morning

after a winter period of some electrical gremlins, the weather has been truly marvellous, the car has been faultless, it is Zymoled and looks the dogs danglies and life is generally sweet. A message to any S owners having a "rough patch" - its all worth it

I fear to say this, but since I bought the car on the 10th Feb, It hasn't missed a beat, even tho I had the dashboard out and back in in that time, I fully expected some gremlins to emerge.

This is the main reason I haven't been about the forums recently, I've either been working or rushing home to get out in the S !

I am however gonna have to do something with the downpipes pretty soon, as some enthusiastic driving on local roads has resulted in more than a few dents in the usual place, so have to save for nice SS manifolds and downpipes
