Ash Trays

I never smoke in my S. But both door mounted ashtrays are damaged and I am trying to get the car as original as possible.

Does anyone know where can I get replacements from? Or which vehicle they may have originally been sourced

Does anyone out there have any old ashtrays or parts of one?

Be nice to know where they were sourced from though I'd bet proberly Ford?

I had the same problem. Just e-mail pistonHeads 'help desk' and they will sort you.

A mate at work used to make them at his previous company. I think he told me they are a BL part somethink like an Allegro (you thought having Sharpa lights were bad). I'll check with him and get back.

I've just asked my mate and I was wrong they are the rear ash trays from a MkII Escort (he thinks).

I have had a good look around Mk2 Escorts recently (well RS2000's as I am after one) and the rear ashtrays are more like what's fitted to the Griff etc as they are only about 1" high (I believe these are BL as they are the same as my Mini) maybe they are from a Mk1 Escort then?
