I would first like to apologise if I am asking stuff that has already been asked... After having seen pictures of rolled Tivs, I am seriously considering buying a roll cage. However, since the manufacturers say that they've not been been certified or tested, I am wondering if they are purely cosmetic, or if they might offer some genuine protection in the result of a roll? Also, there are one or two different ones on the market...Are they basically the same, or is there any discernible difference (except price!)? Any information would be greatly appreicated.

There are several designs around. Some really are just cosmetic, but others are designed to racing standards, but because they have not been tested and certified (which costs a lot of money to do) then they have to be described as "cosmetic".

Martin Short of RollCentre, a very well respected company who specialise in roll bars and roll cages, has designed and built one to the same design and standards as his competition ones and this is probably a good bet.
It was comissioned by Tower View Race Servcies and can be bought from them. Have a look at www.t-v-r-services.co.uk/ for more info.

I agree with JonRB - I'm getting Mine from Tower (from Rollcentre) at the end of the month - only real one I could find - don't even think about a non FIA spec bar.
