Spotted a red S (very nice looking) in Maidenhead this morning. Have seen it a couple of times before. Brave man, he had his roof and windows down. It was not nice weather, it had to be bad because I didn't have mine down and that takes a lot!
Anyone on here?

Gavin and gold 350i.

Was it you that I saw a few weeks (months?) back, going in the opposite direction just by the A4 / A404 roundabout near Maidenhead. I was in a Dark Blue S1.

Yes, I think so, one off the first warm sunny evenings off the year. That nigh I spotted the red S, two Cobra Reps and a Cataraham (S). One REALLY nice Cobra I followed down the A404.

Gavin,

It was me ! I have just returned to TVR ownership after living overseas and as I have only had the S3 a couple of weeks the top is down on every occassion. It was a bit cold !

Can you recommend someone local to Maidenhaed for servicing ?

Martin,

Talk to me if you need to know anything about the cars history (I've e-mailed you seperately) - like how I trashed the engine racing a motorcycle! (hence the rebuild). I'm 99.9% sure it's my old S, I too only ever drove it roof down and often in that area, so it could even have been me spotted if the original spotting was more than a couple of months back!

I'll look out for you and I hope you enjoy "BBD", great car....

- Andy.

Hello!
Sorry about thhe late reply, just got back from Cornwall. Good to see another couple of TVR's in the area. I can't recommend anyone local personally as I/my dad do all the work, but the previous owner of the wedge used Tower View a bit and seemed quite happy.
Are you going to Chatsworth? If so we could go in convoy and meet with some other's on the way. Always good to get a few TVR's together.
What jacket/scarf/gloves/hat were you wearing that morning, it was blood freezing?!

I've used Tower View a few times now for my S and would always recommend them. But I'm probably going to try Thames Valley Racetech next time as they are that bit closer, near sonning somewhere and appear to get good reviews on here.

Still hoping to make Chatsworth subject to work / wife etc etc. So if you do agree a maidenheadish start point post it on the site. Otherwise I was going to head to the South Mimms gathering although I'm not sure what time that's planned for.

Don't know the time of the South Mimms meet, but if you want a run up there we could meet at UCI car park at Handy Cross(i'm based in Wycombe)or somewhere similar. See if Martin Hardman and any other local's want to meet up. Anyone?

Yes, its on my way so sounds like a good suggestion. We can set a time later once we know what time the South mimms meet is planned.

Martin,

I use Thames Valley Racetech, they are in Sonning Common (nr Henley + Reading) and I have found them to be good. Tower View also have a good reputation but are a bit further away.

Cheers,

Dave

Do you want to meet up earlyish and hook up with the South Mims lot? Only down-side I can see is a 7.45-8.00 meet at the Cinema.
