My first car was a Capri as well! In fact I've had 4 in total... I feel so much better for telling eveyone.

I'm in St Albans now and an ex-Essex boy (I know St Albans isn't London, but its close enough).

Pleased to see there is a Putney, I am Fulham and I see TVR's parked and driving through all the time - amazed no one else has posted from Fulham. There are three that are parked just around the corner from me and none of them ever seem to move - extraordinary.

Hey my second car was a Capri, a 1984 2.0S, black with that silver S stripe down the side. Yes it was a dinosaur, yes you needed to be Jeff Capes to turn the steering wheel, yes all my mates had Hot hatches and took the p*ss, but I loved it. Best looking car Ford ever made!

SW London drinks required. Quite like the idea of 10+ TVR's parked up outside the Pitcher and Piano on Fulham road one Sunday lunch time.

Haha, just get out before the drunk aussies start dancing on the tables in the evening! Saw a Testarossa regularly parked outside there last year.

Whereabouts are you?

Chris (Fulham Palace Road but in NY at the moment).

Well, quite conveniently I was right opposite the Pitcher and Piano, therefore seeing the Testarossa quite regularly - The Aussies are usually gone by 9 becuase they get so drunk and can't hold their drink they fall out the door. Now on Wardo Avenue (Fulham Palace rd end).

Excellent - you're two streets away from our flat (nearly said 'blocks', been in the States too long...). You don't fancy popping round and fixing a wonky blind for my numpty tenants do you

Pretty sure I recognise the tiv on your profile, ours was one of the many Azure Blue Elises you'll have seen about.

Always happy to help - drop me an e-mail and a phone number of the tenants and i will go and do it - have spent the last 4 weeks mending blinds, curtains, freezers etc whilst moving house. I am assuming they are all women if they can't do it themselves. No offence meant to capable women that may read this.

I was only joking! Thanks for the offer though, looks like a 'handy' man will be employed to sort it out. Sounds like you could do with a DIY break anyway!

I'll be moving back to Fulham sometime in the next twelve months, we'll have to hit the P&P when I do.
