Can anyone recommend a good MOT place in the E14 area? Just realised my MOT expires this week and have a trip to Europe next weekend.

I (and a good few other PHers) use Batt Brothers in Cambridge Heath Road.

Hope that's of some help to you.

If you haven't already taken it in - go to the council run MOT test centre in E14. They have no repair facilities and don't sell tyres / brakes / exhausts etc so have no vested interest in failing you to sell follow on services. You can be sure of receiving a truthful and honest MOT test:

What he said.

Used them a few times and actually managed to get a pass with non-functional indicators on the grounds

MOT Man: "You going to fix the indicators?"
Me: "Yes."
MOT Man: "OK then."

There is only one thing wrong with this for me as I live in E14 - they don't MOT motorbikes frown

A year too late, but Riverbank motorcycles, Dye House Lane, Bow
London, E3 2TB always do my bike MoTs. There's a greasy spoon next door for a breakfast while you wait.

Do they do them on site now? For years and years - loooooong before it was ever called Abtec Garage and up to the point of the name change - they used to take the cars to a station elsewhere.
