Second Tuesday is Lotus / Caterham night as well as Classic Car night at the Ace -- last time I was there a beautiful gull-winged Merc turned up for everyone to drool over.

Just seen this thread. Ace cafe would be a brilliant idea, am up there at least once a week. I actually saw someone else wearing a PH Lemans t shirt last lowrider night!

Lets get something sorted!

Ps, is anyone else from this way heading out to gtbattle at rockingham on the 25th? MIGHT have a spare ticket going.

You take the Jag up? Would love a looksee (big XJR fan). I've been up there a fair few times of late, bald chappy in bad shirts (Golf, G***MWE).

We have a joint Tyresmoke / RS246 meet @ Windsor on the last Wednesday of each month. Any Pistonheaders would be more than welcome to come along. There's usually a good variety of cars there. Here's the details for anyone who's interested.

The next Windsor meet will be on Wednesday 29th June 2005 @ 7pm in the Great Windsor Park and then onto the Crispin Pub (at approx 8pm) in Woodside on the A332 between Windsor and Ascot.

All are most welcome.

Cheers,
Daz

Chris,

Yours isn't the fast-moving XJR I came by in my S3 on a particularly manic run into Gace along with a red 'Vette and silver Skyline is it?

Could well have been us, I didnt see another dark coloured XJR! Which day was it? We didnt really paste it the whole time we were over, so if it was doing much over 100(mph) it wouldnt have been us. Did see a silver R33 skyline though, that sticks in my mind because there werent many, there were lots of vette's tho! What colour is your car?

This would have been aroound 2pm or so on Thursday afternoon arriving into Gace on the N138. The Skyline was an R32 in Silver, the 'Vette was a maroon C5 and my S3 is silver. I think there was an M5 around too that was proving harder than most to pass It was all getting a bit manic on that approach to Gace - I'll fish out some pics at home.

Hahaha yes they did. A little too much hooning, donutting and burnouting saw off the R32's clutch. The trip claimed a total of 3 out of our 20 cars (Skyline had a cracked rim and the 996TT has some as-yet-unknown turbo/hose issue) and a couple of the others had coolant issues on the way back and the Corvette met the Armco @ 90 but made it home. All in all a good tour!

and here's the Skyline prior to being winched onto a low loader. You couldn't have missed the gold dodge charger - thats a surefire barometer as to whether our paths crossed!

Anyway, sorry for detracting from the original thread. The meet on 29th at the Crispin Pub in Windsor is always a cracker, especially in summer and anyone with a love of cars is more than welcome.
