Can anyone recommend and MOT station in the Norwood/Streatham/Clapham area?

It's the first year my daughter's not been able to get it tested near my home and I don't want her to get ripped off!

I might end up having to get her car to me so I can get it tested and fix it - like most youngsters she's broke and can't afford a big bill, my labour rate is much less than the garage!

Thanks

I'd suggest MOT station in cottage Grove near Clapham North. No hassle when I last used them, up to 2007 though (moved jobs and cars).

It still looks the same on streetview (2017)...surprised it isn't a bar/restaurant/club now.

If you don't trust anywhere, try a Council station (Wandsworth is near the one way system), but then you might be screwed if anything "dangerous" crops up, but would guess you would have checked and fixed those already.

Thanks - it's not that I don't trust them, but as my daughter has no idea about anything car wise other than how to drive it I'm a bit worried that they will bullst her!

I've told her that she absolutely must not go to Kwik Fit smile

The recommended place is 10 mins from her office so she'll give them a try. Fingers crossed - I did quite a bit of work on it last year, suspension bushes etc so hopefully it'll be OK, I'll go over it this weekend and check everything I can before it goes in.

It's been in for MOT this morning.......and passed apart from one minor thing for about £50 which isn't bad for a 12 year old Fiat!

Thanks for the suggestion 928 beer
