Looking for a place to buy in Wapping! Help!

Hi,

I know this isn't a car related thread, so please forgive me!

I am looking for a flat/house to buy in London (not more than 20mins away by motorbike to Chancery Lane). Preferably the better parts of the East End - E1, E2, etc... Wapping would be great!

Does anyone know of anything for sale? Or who I might be able to contact aside from the general estate agents?

Anyone got any suggestions about where to buy that would be smart? Wapping is my first choice, so since PH has a strong presence here... I was wondering if anyone knew anything?

Max budget in 250k.

I need:
(1) 2 double beds
(2) Parking! I am a PH'er afterall!
(3) Decent condition
(4) Close to tube as possible

Contacts are everything, I know this website is about cars, but just wondering if the brotherhood of PH's might be able to help!

I'm afraid 250k wont buy much in Wapping.

To get a good size 2 bed warehouse conversion or new build you need to spend at least 350-400k.
The only half decent sized place you might get for that money in Wapping is a ex-local auth, I guess you are not in the market for that type of prop.

.. which is not a lot at this time of year. Most of the properties around at the moment have comedy price tags attached. I think at some point these people will realise the market isn't rising

There is a block of flats just off Garnett Street in Wapping called Riverside Mansions.

Its ex council but it really is actually quite nice (im living there at the moment !)

2 Bed, 2 floor flats go for about 220K here and that includes secure parking.

Hi - i used to live in Capstan Court, just next to Riverside Mansions.

Look on LudlowThompsons website, they usually have that one covered.

Also felicity J Lord is worth a look too.
