Anyone recommend a good MOT place near Wapping? Need to get the BMW done, and want somewhere that won't fail it due to 'not spending enough money with them yet'.....

Sorry Sir, you'll need a new engine, discs, pads and 3 new tyres to pass... has it been driven by a girl mostly??

there's a couple of places near the den (millwall). verney road garage, and silwood street mot centre. my brakes failed (knew they would), so they got them fixed with the garage next door. new front pads and handbrake adjustment for £30, with free retest. this was at silwood.

Batt Bros. in Cambridge Heath road, Bethnel Green, E2. 0207-739-4718. Right next door to `Rude Mercs`. Good bunch of guys down there and have been doing my cars for years. Wouldn't take mine anywhere else.

Hopefully not too late for you, but take it to Docklands Tyre and Exhaust on Commercial Road. Top bloke who won't fail your car on anything stupid.
