Is anyone up for another PH Wapping meet?

Having seen several PHers in the area over the weekend, it would be nice to catch up over a pint or three at the Captain Kidd.

How does Thursday 29th April sound?

Also good (assuming work doesn't get in the way again)!

Is the Captain Kidd the place with a fish restaurant downstairs on St Katherine's dock?

Not quite St Katherine's dock, but about 10 minutes walk East along the river front. I don't recall there being a fish restaurant there, but then again, I don't recall much about the last time I was there!

Take the DLR to Shadwell, then 1 stop south on the East London line to Wapping tube. Turn left out the station, and walk for 1 minute. Pub is on the left!

Or get the D3 bus from Canary Wharf, which stops outside Wapping tube (just make sure to get the Wapping D3 and not the Isle of Dogs one!).

How does 6pm on Thursday 29th sound?

I'll try to book one of their side rooms, or even an area outside if they'll let me.

I'll obviously be along... I did ask the C Kidd if they were doing bar snacks some time ago and they said they would be offering them soon, so hopefully there will be no disappearing off for nosh halfway through the proceedings.

The last drinks was a cracker - hope to see as many of you there as possible.

WooHoo! I finally get to meet some of these nice Pistonheaders in the flesh!

I'll try to be there. (Having read recent threads about double-cuffed shirts and posh watches I hope I will we welcome as a jeans-wearing Casio-sporting scruffbag ... )
