I know, a lot of my mates have bikes including an R1. I`m sick of coming 2nd! Now where can I get some nitrous again?

Does anyone on here have a car that stays with bikes? Had a close one with a Blade once but it just made me think it was a slow one.

Little risk of damaging your vehicle too.

I would expect drag racing to put a lot of stress on the drive gear. Engine mounts, CV joints, gearbox, diff, rear tyres, etc. I would hope though that most of our cars to be up for this level of punishment.

The larger engined cars can make it up on torque usually, rather than clutch-burning starts.
Therefore not necessary to tear your back axle out.

You're in the AA aren't you ?

Quickest 0-60? Better ask the bikers I suppose.
Better put some corners in the drag strip then.

I have done 0-60 on a hot day at approx 3.6 seconds and have a proven time of 0-60 in 4.2 seconds on a cold damp day in my vehicle, also i have a mate that can do the 1/4 mile quicker than any R1 or any other road leagl bike, and the car is a street car that is road leagl.

I've heard that your vehicle is something to behold. If we do organise a day out, I hope you'll be along to show us how to do it

I had a 'T-Bucket', Rover V8 powered, years ago.
Jago did a similar body ( Model T style, but with MONSTER rear tyres and exposed engine.)

Fun all the way !

Not well suited to the English climate, but it would be nice to see them have a revival.

sorry its took me so long to reply, Ive been very busy with my new born son. He is taking up all my spare time. My vehicle is a orange jago jeep running a rover V8 with a race built 4ltr and a shot of nitrous. It currently has a chevy TH350 gearbox and a ford 9" axel with a four link set up on it. It will do a standing 1/4 in 12.2@109mph. Its not fast enough so over winter i plan to make my 4 ltr in to a 5 ltr and a generous amount of nitrous and should make it into the 10s. Its all just a bit of fun, everyone wants to go faster dont they !
The road leagle car that will beat R1 is a audi S2 quattro with a 9ltr big block chevy that produces 1200Hp (no there is reaily two noughts on the end) and it has nitrous on top of that, Runs 1/4 in 8.2@172mph and 0-60 is 1.9sec. it is fantastic to watch it go.

Froggie's Cerb has Speed Six head lights and after-market alloys. I'm sure it's a standard plate.
