Check out Borrowdale and Newlands valleys, Buttermere, Derwent, Ennerdale, Loweswater & Ullswater lakes for the best views at this time. Make sure you ask for sunshine!
How handy that the planned route takes in Borrowdale, Buttermere, Derwent, Loweswater & Ullswater

Excellent work!

BTW (I'm sure you know) That means you'll (we'll) pass my local... the Kirkstyle Inn, Loweswater... a stunning pub with great food and views. (gets very busy though).

I don't know it no, but what is the parking like? We could always adjust the plan and have lunch there and forget about tea... It'll mean lunch is around 12:30-1 then

Parking is good at 11.45 but crap at 13.00 ... It really depends how many cars there are... I suggest it could be a bit of a nightmare. Especially at the weekend, as when the car park is full there is absolutely nowhere else to park.

You might be better sticking to the tea idea.

Shame really... >> www.kirkstile.com/

Thanks to Steve (GetCarter) the route has changed slighty, well we are running it in reverse to end up at the Phesant for an early tea - is that ok with everyone?

I missed this, not being a NE PH'er

I'll see what's on at work (might be needed for a fibre cable move) otherwise, I'll try and make it.

Why not post on NWPH?

I was seeing the numbers interested - the roads we are heading on don't lend themselves to too many cars.

Since there only appears to be 5 people from NE interested it's going into Yorkshire & NW now

Sorry Stefan, I would be up for it, but I'm off to Keswick this weekend, and I only have the monies for a few jaunts out at the weekend.

Still uncertain, I'm afraid. Still hopeful though! (Could I fit a baby seat in the Elise?!?)

I feel unwell just watching it on screen, let alone subjecting my child to it for a day. Smilie thumbs down to you!

Aye, put me a down as a maybe too. The TVR is laid up now, but I'm sure the Esprit would like a run out
Take plenty of tools and a tent, just in case!
Mind you the Lakes is a pain in a low car, you can't see over the walls and hedges. I could probably make better progress in the van, but where's the fun in that
