Quote: Come spring, I'll be organising a drag day at either Elvington or York Dragstrip. I'm not bothered if anyone else comes because I'm going regardless. The more the merrier of course.

Hey, you'd better be going !

I've already packed my flask and sandwiches for that one.

Warning -poorly car. I'm hoping it's just a minor electrical glitch, but the Elise is off to the car doctor tomorrow. Keep fingers crossed she's not kept in for overnight observation or surgery.

Western lakes., (read N.W.)... specifically Loweswater.

Check out Borrowdale and Newlands valleys, Buttermere, Derwent, Ennerdale, Loweswater & Ullswater lakes for the best views at this time. Make sure you ask for sunshine!

(all IMHO of course).

Just returned from the Lakes today, Visited the places you surgessted plus more--Weather fantastic apart from Monday. Only saw 1 other TVR (Tuscan) along the High Street in Keswick.

Wendy, you may have missed the annoucement, but the event has been called off due to "lack" of interest.

As it happens, it looks like the weather isn't going to hold out tommorrow anyway so it would have cancelled for that as well

Hope your car is sorted...

This event has been cancelled

Yes I knew the official event was no more, but I had indicated I might still be up for a run.

The car is fixed (hooray!) but I've spent so much time that I'm afraid that I can't justify a day bimbling through the lakes (lovely though it would be), so go and have fun and I'll see you hopefully at the next meeting.

Love, W
