Right, im starting to get well sick now.

I have placed my car on the Autotimewaster (otherwise known as the autotrader) and all im getting is timewasters. The last bloke i had round brought his whole dam family, he was only after a drive, he was asking all kinds of daft questions, and when he asked for a drive, i kinda had him sussed and asked for a deposit as he was only covered 3rd party, said the car was to cheap, must have been broken or summit...

Does any one have any ideas on how to shift a 2000 V plate FTO... Its in the forums on pistonheads, its also in a few other owners clubs sites too...

Does anyone know what the Top Marques is like, apart from it just being a posh A.Trader?

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated..

Thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you got this far

Thanks
Jon

I don't know why, but some models don't shift very well with Autotrader. My mate tried for ages to shift a Rover with no joy. Couple of weeks in the local paper and it sold.

I suppose if your desperate, you could always stick it on eBay.

Use your instincts when people are sniffing round your pride and joy, you can generally tell the time wasters and the old third party insurance excuse is enough to get rid of them. If your not sure, give them a ride in the car, but don't let them drive.

FTO's have a limited audience so it'll take a while to move especially this time of year. National glossies is the way to go. If you want to move it quickly then you need to think about that asking price. Second hand prices are in free-fall. Yes it's probably worth the money but only a very select group of people will part with that much for a car with foreign history. Be patient, I've sold two cars of this type and both sold via National's, one to a foreign buyer.
