I can't make Sundays I'm afraid so the 8th and 15th are out for me

I can try and re-arrange shifts, but would need to know ASAP the confirmed date so I can arrange with someone else (I can't take a day off, but can swop with someone who works on a Monday for instance). Even that tho is somewhat dubious and difficult to arrange.

update on me

I spoke to the people at work, and although they are reluctanct, they will let me take an unpaid holiday assuming they can afford to be without me. Obviously this is the worst case scenario, but better than not able to come at all

Need to know the date sharpish

Oh, and car front, it's nearly fixed

So let's see, we're agreed that this will take place next month.
And that's it.
That date makes no difference to me so long as it's a weekend bash.

MickC, you should get an email from me.

Ah who needs a sender? A length of bambo to dip in the tank should do the trick

technically it was never right. What happened is the orginal, Lucas unit was rubbered, puttied and biumen'd in. To make the hole for the petrol to get out, a hole was drilled in it and the pipe secured in a similar fashion. Thus, when I brimmed the tank, or had the tank relatively full the odour of fuel inside the cockpit wasn't entire pleasant. It then gave up the ghost completely and I'm hoping thats the reason why my fuel ended up on the floor.

Yesterday I managed to get a proper Ford Mrk 2 Sender unit, but as you can imagine it don't send the same signals back to the dial, so while as the "leak" is fixed (crossed fingers), my dial is bending past the maximum (the tank is relatively empty at the mo).

So, what I'm going to do is, use the correct locking top and seal from the freebie I got yesterday and mount the orginal sender on if I can't get the current one to work. Going to check with my pop's first tho, he'll might have some other ideas.

Did a service on her yesterday and she fired up like a dream this morn (it rained yesterday and I had to stop), sounds a bit rough, but then I think thats my ears worrying Discovered a few quirks as well - the sumps too low to get a tray under to catch the oil and the filter is a pain to get off.

All in all, the Marlin is temporarily back on the roads (it's going to snow next week apparently).
