I've been invited to some old fart's 40th birthday party in Cumbria the following weekend, so I was planning on taxing the 390 and taking that along - so may well join you for this jaunt as well!

I will probably be able to bend some arrangements and p1ss off a few people in order to get there - I really want to but unfivetunatley things do not always go as planned for me.

______________Please read______________

Folks I just found out that Gemini is hosting a bash at the Grinkle Hotel on 7th Feb. That's a similar distance to our Lion Inn Blakey Ridge plan. May be worth a look. Last time I when on one of these there were 20 - 30 interesting cars to drool over.

Assuming I've got the right venue I may see you there.

If it works it should be where the arrow points

looks like a nice place, I assume it's a tvr meet? I wouldn't mind going...if I can make it that is.

Holy sh!t!! Grinkle Park must be one of the most expensive venues in the whole Universe. Well, Yorkshire, at any rate
Beer at £250 a pint, a fumble with a chambermaid positively restricted to those who earn the sort of cash that Gemini keeps under his mattress for a rainy day...
Last time I went there, I was driving a minibus full of yuppie twats back from a wedding 'do' in about 1991.
Well, when I say yuppies, they thought they were, however the giveaway was that instead of hiring a 'proper' minibus, they'd opted for one of Crown Cars' clapped-out Transits (the one that I later drove into the yard wall to avoid two blokes who were having a punchup in the car park )

Still, could be good for a laugh. I could dig out the chauffeur's uniform (steady, girls )....

Yes it's a TVR meet but that means TVR enthusiasts. You'll normally find a few non-tivs in convoy with them.

I don't. I sent Gemini a text message on Sunday AM but no reply as yet. I know he is having trouble logging on to PH these days. Is there anyone other than Richard that helps with his RO organising? There must be other section members on PH.

It seems like it is a party night not a TVR meet as such. From the NYTVRCC website:-

6th-7th Feb 2004
Dinner bed and breakfast at the Grinkle Park Hotel, NR Whitby.

Comfortable place, with good rooms and large grounds.
We can even put on a snooker tournament for those with a good eye!

The price will be about £100 per person for the 2 nights.
