So is it just Minimax, myself and Stefan meeting at in Team Valley?

Why don't you lot meet up at Washington Services instead, that would benefit myself and (fingers crossed) Dave.

Nothing really, just we need to compensate for the "Bates Lateness Factor" and quantunm physical phenomenon, that can delay minimax up to any length of time.

With the Westfield back on the road minimax is now capable of time travel so you guys shouldn't have any problems.

Just thinking it would be better all of us meeting in one place so at least I've got someone to talk too if one person is late.

Granted, the wife will be in the car with me - but arguing isn't classed as talking is it?

We don't really argue - we're the best of friends, it's the kids we fight with.

Well I've got my gearbox and two of the three gear linkages. I just need to get my suspension top mounts (not essential, I can change em later) from pug sport and get everything done...

Hopefully if the weather is good tomorrow, I'm going to start the attack!

Oh, and if anyone has any spare ladies knocking around - I'll gladly take a passenger!

Disaster strikes
Some friends from down south have invited themselves up for the weekend and I can't make the 15th, which pi55es me off quite considerably (although I love them dearly)!

PLEASE let me know of any further meets, and I'll keep an eye on the postings

Wendy just keep an eye on this forum. We are planning lots during the year and this is where we'll post. This group is new and has only met a couple of times so you won't be the newbe, you'll just be one of us. You are more than welcome at anything we put on. I for one was looking forward to having an Elise on the run. Hope you can make it next time.

Just to let everybody know, if it's chucking it down then I'll be stopping back home. The rain and me just don't mix.

wildfire, me too, although I was waiting for someone else to say it

Wendy, why not bring them along? Show them the North Yorkshire moors, some nice cars (debatable I agree) and have a pub lunch and a run home?

In an Elise? Two in the car and a few more hanging off the back on skate boards?

Oh no the usual reduction in numbers has started early. Still I don't care I'm going regardless.

I need to join the Yorkshire lot, weather doesn't stop them.

bob, I know how you feel. If it rains and the mini has broken down (50/50) then i'll take the smegging fiat! the westfield has rally mud stage tyres on it for some unfathomable reason, and it is lethal in the wet.

It will cost me a rather large amount of my monthly budget to do this run, and I don't find driving my Tiv in the rain too much fun so I can't see too much point in spending the money to do it if it's not going to be much fun for me.

Now I know people will pi$$ and moan at me but that's their problem. Money is at a premium for me. I don't have limitless amounts, the very opposite in fact. So using it wisely is very important to me. I also do not have another car to bring.

Honestly if all I'm going to get is hassle then I may as well not turn up at all. There is enough stress in life as it is, without creating more for yourself.

I'm still going, rain or shine.

Quite looking forward to it as long as the toys stay in the pram.

Sorry. Just going through a bit of a tough time, big job uncertainty (company has lost it's contract on Monday) = possible job loss = more financial problems = move home sell TVR + I am having reoccuring health issues which I thought I was rid of years ago. So it is not high on my priorities to create more stress/problems etc. Like I said I will definitely be coming if weather is good and am looking forward to it. If it is pouring, I choose not to go.

Sorry Wildfire. Nothing personal intended, I was passing a general comment that this NE section event was starting to go the way they always go. Just frustrated I guess, I've invested time money and reputation in an attempt to make this a fun day. I hope you can come, I know you'll enjoy it and I'm sure you'll come if you can.
