Good Place for Lunch in Stratford Upon Avon
Discussion
Ok Midlanders
Please can you recommend a good place for lunch in Stratford. I need to take my parents and teenage daughter for lunch. It needs to be in Stratford so we can walk around and do touristy stuff.
Mid type price range, say a similar range to the Malt Shovel at Barston (for those who know it)
Its been ages since I have eaten in Stratford so I am out of touch

Sandwich/baguette and cake (stunning cakes, x 50 choices!) - can wholeheartedly recommend Hobson's tea-rooms (centre of town, just past Costa on way to Shakespeare's Birthplace. Or even just tea-and-cake mid-afternoon.
More proper lunch:-
- Thai Orchid is Leam - Boathouse is by the river, but also google Thai Kingdom - location not so inspiring but food slightly better and slightly cheaper
- RSC rooftop restaurant worth a look - great views and actually serves good food at normal prices.
- Lambs/The Oppo/Vintners are 3 sister bistros just around the corner from the RSC and the river - not sure what they do for lunch.
Fine-dining = No 9 Church Street. Best place in SuA, no question.

Another vote for Hobsons here
But don't take my word, here's someone that followed that advice last year
