Thanks for all your replies.
Can anyone please suggest any good areas near Village St?
You don't give much away! Can anyone please suggest any good areas near Village St?
Are you thinking just for the school? If so, there are probably better places in Derby and there is a bit of a reputation that hasn't been shaken off (Google Browning Circle shooting).
I think to get clearer answers, you need to tell us a list of must haves and a price range/house type as that can be more relevant in Derby/suburbs.

I am perhaps biased but would lean towards Mickleover. Choice of decent primary and secondary schools and all what you asked for (including a Tescos) in close proximity. It also has a really good round village/in to town bus service which is very accessible. Hilton is also ok but a bit further from where you work and also spread out. Its got a good new Aldi though!
I found this as an example (mainly as I have seen the sign and we used the agent) so it may give you an idea:

Hope that helps.

My mate lives on the pastures new estate in Mickelover which seems pretty nice he has a nice 4 bed detached with a lovely view cost about £420k I believe but think they start from high 200's on that estate it seemed pretty nice to me and they is a decent tesco and shops pubs etc... nearby
