I'm more excited than a particularly excitable person with an extra special reason to be especially excited.

See you all tomorrow folks.

Looks like I might be doing an into Nottingham teenage family member taxi run tomorrow evening with a subsequent collection in the small hours.

Now, whilst driving in and out might be fun if the roads are quiet, meeting up somewhere with this invading group is likely to be even more fun.

Not sure about times yet so I don't think the meal is an option but it would be nice to have an opportunity to catch up with you all at some point during the evening.

What are the post meal plans? Still expecting to fill the "Trip" for starters?

I think my collection appointment will not be much before 01:30 at the earliest so I would be looking to provide sober company into the small hours.

I assume people are not planning an early night?

ok, I feel a bit better at the moment (had 24hrs without alcohol for the first time in years) so I'm going to stick my neck out and say that i'll be there tomorrow...probably not at 2pm since i'll be working until at least 3pm but at some point during the afternoon and then i'll nip home to change

ps may I put forward the Bell Inn as an ideal place for a pre pintage pint? lots of great ales and lager plus it does food and it's on the market square (oppo end to the lions for those who don't know)

"The pub was men only until 1969, when the pub went mixed."

Just in time then?

... or too soon for some?

I'll be at the Lions at 2pm to say Hi to everyone and grab a spot of lunch but will have to shoot off before the evening meal

Sorry to hear that you can't make the evening meal, Matt. I shall see you for lunch though.

You will indeed - see you tomorrow!

The meal starts at 8pm, so I imagine that we won't leave the restaurant too much before 11pm. We will go onto the Trip from there. (I hope they have an extended licence.) After that, I thought that Via Fossa might be worth a look as it is quite a big place. As most folk are checked into the Plaza, I imagine those who have trouble stopping (drinking) and sleeping will be patronising their bar.

I have just sent you an email with my mobile no.

Bell Inn is a good choice there Tom, I was in there tonight! Should still be able to make it for a drink or two after the meal but we are going to the union bar at 5pm so could be in interesting condition by 10pm!! by 7pm!

Thanks Emma (and Warren).

Got the numbers. I'll see how the timing works out with my passenger's plans. Maybe meet up before you leave the "3 million miles from anywhere". I guess they could find an extra chair and a couple of sq. ft. of floor if I arrive whilst the snack is still in progress.

Think you might be too late for the Trip, remember it's a proper OLD pub none of this late bar lark
