I won't be getting to the square until about 3pm at the earliest so I hope you guys are actually going to the bell inn, and I hope your're still there by 3pm if you do!

it'd annoying for me to have it brought home to me how incompetent I am at organising anything if I couldn't find you lot! hey ho... :tumbleweed:

Looks like I might not be able to make it tonight folks. We are drinking in the union bar all afternoon and I don't think getting into town will be a realistic option after what happened last time

Hope you all have a good night!

Found them eventually.

Thanks Emma for a great evening, sorry I couldn't make more of an event of it.

See you at the karting.

Cheers,

Heebee.

Thanks to everyone for a great evening. It was really lovely to meet you all and put some faces to some familiar names at last. I'm sorry that I didn't get to say goodbye to you all - I was having too much fun on the dancefloor

The general concesus is that we have another get together around Easter. What shall we do next time? Chinese? Italian? Or more curry? And whose birthday shall I say it is next time?

You're all lovely

Thanks to Emma and Warren for the idea and the organizing and it was great to be able to add faces to the names for those of you I managed to meet and talk to.

Easter time sounds good for another get together. At the risk of starting a little out of the city centre - is the Thai place on the Mansfield Road just up from the Victoria centre still going? They used to do a Banquet for large groups where the food kept coming (each course different) so long as the previous course was completely consumed. (You were allowed to leave rice.)

We used to take visitors there sometimes and go for the banquet if the group was large enough to make it fun. We hit 14 courses on one visit. Allegedly the company record was 21 courses and the allcomers record was supposed to be something like 30 courses. As 14 was a challenge I think the other claims must have been urban myths.

Huge thanks to the Birthday Girl for organising such a fabulous evening, and it was great to meet so many lovely people.

Me, Daz, Minimax and Marquis propped up the table in the hotel bar until gone 3am just chatting and having a laugh.

Great venues, great food, great company, great time.

I look forward to meeting you all again at the next one.

Best wishes,
Greg

Jees...I just realised I was drinking from 1630pm - 0300am....bloody hell, that explains the lightheadedness.

Superb evening. Thanks to Emma in arranging it and Warren in helping out!

Nice to put some faces to names, such as Greg- good to meet you.
Nice chatting to Dazren and always a pleasure chatting to Minimax.

Warren, always nice when you share your passion for Bentleys.
Thanks everyone for a great evening!

I had a great time dancing, I haven't danced like that for ages- some of the tracks just took me back to my University years!

If the next get together is targeted around the end of March my lady friend, Jonna-Rex could make it too.....

Not really sure what happened to be honest. Was drunk by about 8pm! Ended up going back to someone's room for a party. Never met them before and probably won't ever see them again! Also have a huge bruise on my chin!
