I had a great time dancing, I haven't danced like that for ages

Me neither! I had so much fun. Thanks!

If the next get together is targeted around the end of March my lady friend, Jonna-Rex could make it too.....

Fantastic! It would be great to meet Jonna. Easter Sunday is 27th, so how about Saturday 19th or 26th March or 2nd April?

...is the Thai place on the Mansfield Road...still going? They used to do a Banquet for large groups where the food kept coming (each course different) so long as the previous course was completely consumed. (You were allowed to leave rice.)

It is still there and that sounds like a good idea. Consensus please!

Fine by me. As long as someone can tell me where to go from the hotel front door, no worries.

Thanks Emma for all your hard work putting this together, and for your excellent hospitality!

Nice to see some old faces again... Marquis, Judas, Ace-T and meet some new ones

Well, if enough people were up for it we might introduce a little competition by creating teams and counting how many courses were managed by each. However I think the concept would work best in teams of about 10, not much less.

The reason being that you can't choose what is in the next course so you need a large group to ensure you don't grind to a halt earlier than you could 'cos people don't fancy that one much.

Also 10 is a reasonable social grouping balance for sitting around a table in an eating competition (I think?)

Did I mention that the courses tended to get spicier as meal progressed .... ?

:fireenginesmiley:

Edit to correct formatting screwed up by those silly little people who shuffle the bits and bytes around during 'net transmissions.

You'd have to leave some room for birthday cake though.

Top night, really cool to meet you all!

Apologies for shooting off to bed relatively early, I think I had a "bad pint" in Jerusalem.

At least I didn't fall asleep at the bar....ahem...Corrine...

And I shook the hand of a PH legend, Daz.

Thanks Emma, sterling efffort.

Ah! I wondered where you went to! I hope that you are feeling better now. It was lovely meeting you and Liona. I hope to see you both at our next big night out.

Likewise.

We would've followed you lot to the club but Liona had twisted her ankle in the hotel lobby and wasn't up for a walk. We went back to the hotel bar instead and enjoyed a few drinks with Daz, Greg, Corrine, Podie, Ace-T and Judas.

Had a fantastic evening... great to see everyone, and it was worth the hangover from hell this afternoon

Great to see some old friends, but also to meet some new ones.. wish I'd had more time just to keep on chatting!

Great job Emma on the organisation... looking forward to the next event!

My personal highlights include Emma's birthday cake (which poor sod missed out?!?) .. and the ultimate PH horror of Daz eating lentils!!!
