So, where are we going to meet for pre-meal drinks? I was thinking about 6pm onwards? I doubt if I'll get there until 6.30pm, but those stopping over may want to meet up early. Next door to the restaurant is a bar called (I think) Voodoo. It is quite pleasant. Other than that there is Lloyds No1 across the road, if you don't mind rubbing shoulders with townies on a Saturday night. Just a thought...
Well I'm back home now had a brilliant time, really enjoyed the drive out yesterday we will have to do it again soon.Enjoyed the meal and the clubbing as well although it is a good job we didn't do the drive out today as the gentle run home was all my head could stand.see you all soon.
Dougie.
Dougie.
Sorry that you couldn't make this one mustard and the master Your presence and company was indeed missed, as was that of Ace-T, Judas (I hope you're feeling better today), Rude Girl and Podie, Neilb and Liona.
Thanks everyone for making last night such a great night out. I really did enjoy myself, despite my obvious back problems. Great food and great company. I think the vast quantities of alcohol and lots of Ibrobrufen finally kicked in around 1am, allowing me a few shuffles on the dance floor
It was great catching up with some familiar faces and lovely meeting JonnaRex, Psychobert and Mattfp.
And Dougie, definately was a very good idea to do the run yesterday rather than today. We shall definitely have to organise another combined run out and night out again for summer. Next time though, bring your sunscreen

I did bring the sunscreen, it just didn't seem warm enough to use it, although that could have been the high speed wind chill effect. If you want to do another run sooner we could meet up at Ashbourne and just do the daytime bit(cat and fiddle etc).
Another night out in summer is also a good idea
How is your back today, better I hope.see you soon Dougie.
A run out to the Cat and Fiddle sounds like a top idea. Maybe we could conscript some of the Yorkshire crew too. And I shall start another thread very soon to get a heads up for a night out in June.
The back is a lot better today, thanks. Still very uncomfortable and sore. I can walk without grimacing, though I can't quite manage to put a pair of socks on

Everyone else there.

Yeah, sorry we didn't make it. After the early start on Saturday morning (5.45 am) to go and collect the car, we were both knackered after the drive back, plus I had another early start this morning for the GTs at Donnington (saw Warren's car but not Warren!). By the time we'd decided, I figured most people would be out on the run so didn't bother posting on here.
We'll make a better effort next time, promise.

Shame I missed you, I saw the Mustang, it looks fab. Hope to see it on a run out sometime. My son wanted to see the cool blue illuminated instruments, he remembered them from the feature on Top Gear.

Congratulations on the new car Neil. Can't wait to see it! Admit it. You were hooning around the British countryside all day and all night in your new purchase
OK there was a bit of that involved. Not so much hooning as practicing driving a LHD. Some pictures might appear on PH as lots of people kept taking them today. Although Rob`s car attracted more attention.
A good night out again, as usual
Sorry I cleared off early, I left the bar at 11.45pm, and was tucked up in bed at 12.18am. Not bad from Nottingham City centre to Belper, and that included the walk back to where the car was parked. Interesting to be doing well over three times the limit instead of barely two times the limit with the 'ickle Furby whilst passing the swedish flat pack place Daftest bit of road ever to reduce from a 70mph to a 40mph.
See you all again soon, next Sunday at the Romper for some of you.
TTFN folks.
