I thought I'd start a new thread just in case people hadn't been keeping up to speed on the 3rd April thread. We are having a run out on the Saturday now, so that everyone can have the best of both worlds and go along to the GT racing at Donington park on Sunday.

So far I can deduce that the following are coming along for the hoon:

Balmoral Green
EmmaP
Rafdug
Madbadger

If you want to join us, please add your name to the list. The more the merrier

[Balmoral Green's] Timetable roughly as follows:

Meet up at midday, car park near 'Next'.

Depart 12.20-12.30 'ish.

Pick up madbadger near East Mill, Belper 12.45-13.00. (Excellent hand car wash here, but the queue is about 40 minutes)

2-3 hour run about, with lots of breaks, natter stops etc.

Back to Nottingham around 5'ish.

Very casual, don't expect a detailed route map, rough notes will be adequate which I will scribble down and do a few copies. It will be easy enough to stay in a group. Exchange mobies etc just in case.

Or I may just make it all up as I go along

I will probably be there early as I will have to allow time for traffic coming from Stafford.
It looks like mine won't be the quickest silver car there either. See you there .Dougie.

Ooooh, just spotted this. Might be tempted into playing out tomorrow afternoon. Belper's just up the A6 from me, so where is this near East Mill place? Best that t'Internet can come up with is just west of the town, off the A6 by Bridge Hill. Any particular place there? Anyone want to e-mail me a phone number?

I'm particularly un-sober right now, but I'll do my damndest to get up in time!

Cheers!

The mill looks pretty obvious from what I can find. Looks like this:

To the west of Belper by the river by number 5 on this map:

I'm hoping it is fairly obvious!

I should be there at about 12:30, hopefully with Stacko in his purple MX5. I'll keep my eyes open.

Cheers

Afternoon all!

Thanks everyone, for a great run out yesterday. I had so much fun and it was really great to get a chance to finally push my VR6 to the limit It was lovely meeting Mr & Mrs Stacko and Madbadger and great to catch up with Balmoral Green, Rafdug and J_S_G again. All the cars looked fabulous and James, your Jag is well wicked, especially those big fat wheels and that deep throaty V8 We really did turn quite a few heads in Ashbourne, didn't we? I felt honoured to be in such highly esteemed company

Thanks!

Ahem! cough, cough. I was really impressed, but from my rear view mirror I thought you had done it on purpose and was larking about Glad you managed to gather it all up again with no harm done.

Great run out folks, you missed the bit where I pulled up at temporary traffic lights with smoke pouring from my front wheels, brakes well & truly fried.

Just spoke to my dad. Conversation along the lines of, "What did you get up to yesterday...How's the car?" "Oh, you know. Fine!" That's the closet shave I ever want to have without the use of a blade and shaving gel

If you'd have fried your brakes earlier in the day, and I'd have thought to bring along some bacon, we could have had bacon butties

I hope that you and your lad had a great time at Donington.
