I will ring Tom or Warren when I leave the hotel probably about 5.30pm. See you at 7pm

It doesnt take an hour and a half to walk from your hotel to the cafe bar mate

I will be in town mid afternoon onwards, so anyone else at a loose end, give me a call and we can stay out of trouble together.

I will be there just after 5.30, when I said 7pm I was referring to our leader and Iain.
It doesn't take five minutes to walk to the pub, it's the walk back from the cookie club that's the killer.the roads in nottingham are too bloody wide.

ah, the good ol' cookie club

:groan:

*suffering flashbacks of dodgy birds from previous night*

oh dear, I'm going to need armour protection if they're there tonight as well raffy! stand in front of me! oh dear where do my standards go?

Looks like I'm going to be forced to miss this one.

Family related arrangements, re-arrangements and general confusion. I really cannot believe that this sort of thing seems to happen just about every time I have an evening out planned well in advance.

There is a very slim chance I can make it depending on events this PM but I'm not holding my breath.

Have a great time everyone. I'll try and pin the next one down early.

Thanks for a nice evening folks, I hope you had a good run out today too.

I got back to my car in Trinity Square car park, and found that some arsehole had scraped and scuffed the back bumper on the Furby. It is too much to polish out and the paint has been taken off in several places.

And they didnt have the decency or integrity to leave a note of apology and their details.

Do people still do that?

Mrs. LongQ has had a number of small scratches and minor door opening type dents in the last few months. Possibly connectied with a change of habits and a new parking place.

The worst of them, looks like someone's nsf bumper caught the rear quarter panel just behind the wheel. A nice large but 'gentle' dent and a few deep scratched (but not to metal) on the wheel arch. No note or indication of anyone admitting liability.

So on an 8 year old car and for something that is not too noticeable, what do you do?

That parking location will continue to be used for the foreseable future so I'm not inclined to keep paying for patching the thing. In any case a repair could be more visible than the current state of damage.

Absolute toe-rags the lot of them. The only possible excuse is that some vehicles are so well sond insulated these days it is just possible that they had not idea they had touched anything. Either that or they thought they had but have such or eyesight that they could not see the damage when they looked. Both of those excuses are, of course, being very generous.

You're not having much luck this year are you BG?

Not long after I got the car, some idiot smashed and took the door mirror off.

A tyre fitting monkey has deeply scored one of the alloys set a couple of inches in from the edge and running nearly the whole circumference.

Now some arse has scuffed the back bumper.

The car is only 8 months old and it has suffered three items of damage costing several hundred pounds to repair in total, all caused by others who have not taken responsibility.

I swear I will not be responsible for my actions If I ever catch anyone in future. I will politely request full satisfaction in rectifying the damage, if they are not able to read the signals as I make this request and are not forthcoming, the hammer is coming out. No pack drill.
