Jsg has left pistonheads a couple of people had a go at him on this thread www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=171923&f=117&h=0&p=5 and he left immeadiatly. If you click on his profile he has changed his name to jsgbgone and has explained why he has left. It's a shame really nice chap

No call for that sort of language. (Hence I've edited this post ). I really like J_S_G. I hope James still joins us on Saturday.

that run the following day sounds good as well. I might find a place to stay in Nottingham if its an early start- any suggestions anyone?

(It also means I'll be able to have a beer during the meal as well)

This was the cheapest place in Nottingham when I rang around last time:

You may want to book in advance though, as places sell out quickly:

Royal Moat House Hotel, Wollaton Street, Nottingham Tel. 0115 936 9988

Single

Flexible Option (cancellation up until 2pm on day of arrival)

£57 (room only)
£65 (B&B)

Advance Purchase (payment is made when booking and is non refundable)
£43 (room only)
£51 (B&B)

Double

Flexible Option (cancellation up until 2pm on day of arrival)

£57(room only)
£73 (B&B)

Advance Purchase (payment is made when booking and is non refundable)
£43 (room only)
£59 (B&B)

The hotel offers secure parking on site which is manned 24hrs a day and is covered by CCTV. This costs £9.50 per vehicle.

Rafdug stayed there and said that it was really good.

Took a bit of a chance on it, but I booked through www.laterooms.com for the last Notts night out and IIRC it cost me £37.. Or not far off anyway. Can often get very cheao last minute deals from them.. Worth a look if you've not booked in advance..

These prices have now changed(nearly doubled)as prices depend on how busy they are. The £43 room is now £77 and the £59 is now £85.So I have booked in to the Strathdon.(01159418501) for £50 (40% off normal rate).I would book early people as the 2nd July is very busy for some reason.I don't know if breakfast is included in that price but it won't bother me as I am yet to make breakfast on one of these do's

I hope james does turn up apart from being a top chap I might be interested in his car next year if I can't find a nice late Chim

I hope that James comes too. I think it will depend on how busy he is with work. His car is rather splendid isn't it. Those wheels, that V8...

I will let you drive mine topless on the sunday if you want.I would bring a hairbrush with you though as anything above 40mph and people with hair tend to look like Ken Dodd.

That reminds me of the time my sister went to Matlock on the back of my boyfiend's Kwaka. She ignored his pleas for her to tie her hair up. She had to get a good six inches cut off it because it got so tangled.

I'll be up for this as well I reckon, as long as I can get a reasonably priced hotel room sorted
