I think I fancy coming along to this, (if a rice burner is welcome?)
Not too sure about the walking thing, but we used to own a hotel in Fairbourne (near Bala) and any excuse to drive the Snowdon roads again!!!

...Fairbourne...Bala...dont you mean Barmouth??? Or is that Welsh country mile near!!! Anyway sod the geography...

The list for the meal is now

Chassis 33* plus possibly my dad
EmmaP*
V15ben*
Minimax*
Quinny
Naughty Magpie
Scott (Mr Magpie)
Stone
Lexie*
Darren350
Mart 63
K50 DEL (?)
Nonegreen (?)

Who needs a bed at mine for the night? other than those already *ed

Initially meeting on the Saturday at 1100hrs at the Little Chef/Travel Lodge carpark just off the roundabout at M6 Jct16 (where all the little roads are here)

Could i suggest that if the Magpies (or anyone else) dont want to meet at Jct16 they meet here where the hockey stick is off the Chester Road (a carpark in behind the Fire Station), off the A41 at 1200 leaving 1215?

I'll do stage maps/routes so every one can do their go at their own pace, and no-one feels obliges to keep up with the quicker drivers, or slow for the slower ones.

The stages on Saturday being
Jct16 to Malpas
Malpas to Trevor
Trevor to Worlds End
Worlds End, thru the Horse shoe pass to Langollen
Llangollen to overnight stop/The Boat

Sunday, I suggest a nice orderly convoy, all for one and one for all thru that strong hold of the anti-car policeman...North Wales

Iain

Ok, are you coming for the meal?

Numbers for the drive etc arent really an issue, but i need to know numbers for the meal so i dont let the guys at the boat down, hogging seats over the bank holiday isnt really fair on them, and i need to go back there!!!

Btw, i've arranged, in pencil, somewhere to have lunch on the saturday, it will be a case of going to the local shop for some butties or the chippy, but there will be free pool!!!

Slightly more than a shameless bump...just to say I've booked youth centre where i volunteer to stop for lunch between 12 and 1 on the Saturday, so not only can we have lunch (BYO/chippie/local shops), we can play a bit of pool too!!!

Lets hope the weather brightens up, its got quite miserable round here this evening...[marvin]i dunno, an ecosystem the size of a planet and they let it rain on me[/marvin]

"Life, don't talk to me about life"

Probably the funniest character in the film I reckon.

Pool sounds like a very good plan, I never get enough free time as a student to play

......... more than 20 frames a night

*I've said i can put folks up at my house to save on a B&B on the Saturday night, we have one more spare bed before we have to resort to sleeping bags on the floor, or tents in the garden, so contact me if you want to stay, there will be pleanty of bacon butties early Sunday morning to make sure we get to Snowdon before the crowds.

Regards
Iain

Is this offer still open - tent etc would be fine with me if necessary?
