I should be so lucky .
No, my drinking mate Tony is dead centre.
This is me sitting outside the Trip part way through a booze-about.

Over the Easter hols we want to show the children some of the visible caves in Nottingham.
Aside from the cave tour, where are there interesting ones that can be accessed? I seem to recall the Hand & Heart has some, the Bell on Market Square? Any others worth a look?

Ok so it’s not Nottingham, but there’s also the Blue John cavern not too far away.
Although, over 200 steps down and then back up again, I’m not sure Lord Balfours hip would manage.
Could also purchase some snazzy Blue John earrings for Lady Balfour.

Thanks All.
I want to put a little tour together, ideally walkable.
They want to see the Trip. Is there anything else walkable from there (relatively easily)
Assuming not just pubs for the kids?I want to put a little tour together, ideally walkable.

Ice centre
Canal walk
River embankment

I agree that the GoJ is good though.
I have not lived there for 20 or so years but Lincoln will always be my city, I grew up there, started work there, did everything there, and I miss it terribly.
It has changed drastically due to a University and the influx of immigrants has been particularly difficult to swallow for some locals and that has changed the demographic due to its location near the farming packhouses etc, but when you come up the A1 and see the Cathedral on the skyline, or you see the BBMF Lancaster with City Of Lincoln on it, or even the Vulcan when it flew it does make me very proud to be from there.

It’s nice when people appreciate their City.

The Park Tunnel was never open when I was in Nottingham, it's on my list.
I'm waiting for mask mandates on planes to be dropped before I look at booking a flight, September would be the earliest.
I used to deliberately walk through the Park Tunnel on my way home to Lenton from a night out on the town, even though it was a bit of a detour, just to scare myself stless at 2am. Mind you the Chicken Phall or Anarkali I'd usually just consumed at Sapna did a pretty good job of keeping me regular anyway so it was probably unnecessary.I'm waiting for mask mandates on planes to be dropped before I look at booking a flight, September would be the earliest.
