Just up the A1 from Newark for me.
Will be at The Dovecote, Laxton next Thursday for their classic meet. Looks like last month's first meet was really good.

Matt
How do they define "classic " cars?
Well it's ran by the Classicwise collection, who sell a lot of nice old stuff, from the photos I saw from the last meet its some nice 60s and 70s stuff and a bit of anything else that turns up. But they're only one meet in, so will see how it pans out.

Matt
Thanks. My car is only 20 years old, but is a TVR so a sort of a modern classic. I will try to make time to toddle along on Thursday and spectate rather than take part.

Hello there, long time lurker here.
I'm based in Southwell and would be keen to meet up with some like-minded people.
Currently we have a 208 GTI by Peugeot Sport, a diesel Civic and a Honda CB1000R NSC.
So absolutely nothing classic I'm afraid!

I'm sure they'll happily take a TVR

And as for any other modern cars, I've only got a MK3 mx5 and yes I am a hairdresser/barber (in Southwell)

Was meant to be 5pm BUT....

[THE DOVECOTE LAXTON]
😞 As much as we don’t want to... 🙁

With all the new rules coming in again both myself and Sam at Classicwise think the right thing to do is postpone until next month and see where the country is at.

We had such a brilliant time for our first event so it would be a real shame for the next one to have been ruined by the police showing up because they think what we are doing is wrong!! Enthusiasts and owners will always need an excuse to bring the car out or nip to the pub and see some stunners so we will be back next month (fingers crossed!!)

If you can please communicate out to your groups I would really appreciate it as we won’t be offering the BBQ anymore if anybody does still turn up!

I hope you will all come back plus more next month as the first one was amazing and I’m really looking forward to the next one and next years evenings.

Thanks for your understanding and please know we haven’t taken the decision lightly,

Sam

Well it's now back on for this coming Thursday ....

GOOD AFTERNOON EVERYBODY!

We were absolutely gutted to cancel the last event on Thursday. So, we have rearranged for this coming Thursday the 24th September! Please update yourselves as to social distancing measures etc in the details part on the event page.

- IMPORTANT -
We have had a couple of complaints of people leaving our evening in a slightly anti social manner so we will have ANPR active taking registration details of cars when entering and leaving the event. Unfortunately, if when leaving the event, you find it necessary to floor it out of our car park then we have no choice but to BAN you from future events. Please understand that this isn’t what we want to do but both myself and Sam have our businesses on show and we want everybody to be happy including the village residents. If we were in the middle of nowhere with no houses nearby then it would be fine but we are a quiet village that hears everything!! We both appreciate your understanding and are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday 24th!!

Thanks,

Sam
