Hi there

It's been a while since I had a car outside of warranty that I wanted to get serviced at a non-franchised dealer.

Does anyone have any recommendations of a decent garage to do an MOT and service? Obviously you can look them up but it'd be great to hear off someone who has used a place for a few years. I live and work in the Selly Oak/Northfield area so ideally somewhere that side of town.

Thanks!

General garage. First of all for my other half's 7 year old Mazda 2, and then if it's any good my own Volvo V40 at some point.

Which end of Selly are you?

A friend used to use Selly Oak Garage and they're fairly well rated (https://www.sellyoakgarage.co.uk/)

They're on Dawlish Rd not far from the train station

Yeah, I'm familiar with these guys (though not used them myself). Like you say, they seem to get decent reviews so I might just give them a try seeing as they are probably the closest to me. Thanks!

I used to take my cars to Wards Garage in Bournville

Never had any problems and the level of customer service was great.
