We can't make it either. In what is a typical and frequent occurence for me, I doubled booked us I forgot we had arranged to go with friends to see Kung Fu Hustle in Notts.

We will be there next time though, definitely.

Have fun, hope the chips are better

what's the definitive meeting place then? ..still cromford and then move en-masse up to the pub/chips or collect at the pub and walk down to the nearby chip shop, or collect at the chip shop first before driving to the pub? or any other offers?

I'm going to be brave and go to the pub first.

I was going to be kind to my car by avoiding the car park and going straight to the pub.

Good to see you all. I was determined to get home with the lid off! The sky was black as a vicar's hat (apart from the lightening!), but I made it. (Gritted teeth as 1 lane of A38 coned off for median maintenance)

Hope you all got home OK!

Great to see everyone again, especially rafdug. Thanks for letting me drive the Saab. It is the first time I've driven topless and a Saab too! Shame I didn't get a chance to open her up though. I did get a chance to have a real good blast back to Notty with Tom. We had soooo much fun Top route Andymadmak First time I've driven the VR6 at speed on twisty roads in the wet and I have to say the F1s are great.

Uncledave - all you have to do is ask if you want a drive out. I will be more than happy to oblige. I think I know a nice stretch of road now where we can have a bit of fast and twisty fun

Great to see you again too, and Tom and Warren and nice to put a few more faces to names..
Emma, hopefully you will get a proper topless blast in the Saab on sunday.
The Aquaplaning on the Ashbourne to uttoxeter road on the way back was the worst i've ever known, huge puddles hidden by torrential rain trying to throw me off the road,Aah well I suppose the wheelarches and underbody will be spotless See you saturday Dougie.
