We didn't go as the weather couldn't have been any worse - very windy, pissing down and freezing cold. More like a winters day than July.!!!!

I didn't go last Tuesday either - as you say p*ss poor weather (and no roof).

Same guy also organises a meeting tomorrow, 12 July (2nd tuesday), at the Brittanic Insurance building just off the Becketts Farm Island. Not been personally but apparently pig roast/bar etc and similar, if not better, turn out than the Royal Oak meeting but with far more parking space.

Looks like sun will be out tomorrow . . . .

Probably go to Ashby Folville tomorrow but will certainly bear that in mind. Give us an update on numbers.
Also do you know which road off the island it is. I know where the island is on the A435 (would be coming from the Maypole end).

If you are coming from the City end of the A435 then it's the last exit (4th - right) towards Wythall Green. 1st exit when coming from M42 end. It's actually in the complex just along from the main island where Excell(?) vehicle distribution used to be based.

I'll let you know on turn-out, sun is still shining . . . .

Turn out was huge - I would estimate more than 100 cars. Still turning up when I left at about 8.30. All kinds - vintage and veteran to new DB9.
